Hi everyone, my name is Pansy. I’m about 11 years old, but don’t let that fool you, I am full of life and spunky! I had a mom who loved me very much, but sadly she passed away. Now I am looking for a new forever home with someone who will love me as much as she did.
My foster mom says I’m a very sweet girl. I’m not much for cuddling, but I do love to be around people and supervise whatever it is they’re doing. I’m friendly to people who visit my foster home, and I’m told I have a spunky personality.
I’m not a counter surfer, and I can’t jump on furniture, but I would probably love to be up on the furniture if I had a ramp to help me up. I love to go for walks, and that’s really good, because I could stand to lose a few pounds. I would do best with someone who will help me continue to exercise.
I seem to get along with everyone, but I can get a little crabby when my arthritis is acting up. When that happens, I can get growly when anyone tries to touch my tail or back legs. For that reason, I should not go to a home with small children. I’m currently on medication to help me with the arthritis, and that seems to be starting to help me.
My foster home does not have cats, so we’re not sure how I would do with them. My foster mom suspects that I would probably bark at them for a bit and then start to ignore them.
Do you think you could be the family to give me lots of love and help keep me active?
If this sounds like you, please submit a completed adoption application and mention me — Pansy!
